We sometimes get a request for a Discover Scuba Diving session on Coin de Mire Island. This trip we took an important businesswoman scuba diving to Coin de Mire Island, expecting to wow her with the shoals of fish and spectacular variety of rare fishlife, together with stunning corals. What is the best time of year to go scuba diving in Mauritius?
Diving in Mauritius is good all year, and for very different reasons. If you are a new diver, the calm ocean surface, normal lack of current and the protective surrounding barrier reefs and easy accessibility to the dive sites makes it an ideal place to learn to dive. The shallow reefs are close to shore, so there is no difficult or demanding boat trip. So diving is possible year-round.
